San Francisco Bay Area, CA – Jimmi Ward is a seasoned bassist, composer, session musician, and live performer whose deep musical lineage and versatile technique have made him a staple of the West Coast music scene for decades. Drawing from a rich family legacy—his grandfather a founding guitarist of The Sons of the Pioneers and his mother a celebrated vocalist—Ward’s path was set early, developing his skills on trumpet and piano before settling into his lifelong passion: the bass guitar. Ward’s performance history spans rock, funk, metal, blues, and R&B, with a dynamic stage presence and a groove-first mindset that has fueled collaborations with some of the Bay Area’s most respected groups.
